It’s that time of year again. Homecoming is just around the corner. Everybody’s getting ready for the big dance. Everyone’s buying dresses and suits, washing and vacuuming their cars, getting reservations at restaurants, and what not. The football players are getting ready to take on Wheeler on Friday. However, before all of these events take place, we have to prepare for the annual Spirit Week, which is back and better than ever. This year, there are a variety of different activities for Spirit Week.
First off, Monday is Class Color Day. Seniors wear blue, juniors wear yellow or gold, sophomores wear green, and freshmen wear red. Tuesday will be Twin Day. Students can dress in the same attire as another student or even groups can all dress in the same clothes. Wednesday will be College Day. Students are allowed to dress in attire with printed logos or words from their favorite college or university. Thursday will be Celebrity Day. Students can dress as they would if they were attending the Oscars or as their favorite celebrity (remember, the attire must be BNI appropriate). And last but definitely not least, Friday will be Extreme Warrior Wear Day.
The Bishop Noll’s Best Dance Crew competition debuts this year during our Spirit Week. The cost for a group to participate is $5 per group. However, each group can only have a minimum of 5 members and maximum of 8 members.
This year’s Homecoming pep rally will be interesting. This year, there will be an obstacle course- like event. Each Advisory class will choose two representatives to participate in this event. First, the contestants will partake in a pie eating contest. Then, the participants will rush over to the Mummy competition, where they will wrap their teammates in toilet paper. After that, the contestants will began the Balloon contest, where they will use brooms to slide their balloons down the court. Finally, the contestants will compete in an old-fashioned potato-toss contest.

All in all, this Spirit Week promises to be both a fun and memorable experience for all the students at Bishop Noll Institute.
