On Tuesday, May 9th, Bishop Noll’s Track & Field team competed in the Greater South Shore (GSC) against Griffith, Illiana Christian, Calumet, Hanover Central, Lake Station Edison, River Forest and Wheeler. Girls placed 6th overall and boys placed 7th overall. 

Despite the team being small, they competed well. Precious Knight placed first in high jump and Zekiel Zuckley placed first in discuss. The Girls 4×8 team placed 3rd overall. Junior, Alessandra Lopez placed 4th in 800 with a time of 2:43.30 and Sophomore, April Sepulveda placed 6th in the 800 with a time of 2:47.67. 

Junior April Sepulveda says that the team is working extra hard in preparation for sectionals. “Sectionals is a super important meet so everyone is trying to work hard at practices and get mentally and physically ready for this big meet. We’re all showing up to practice consistently and pushing each other to keep going at practices, said Sepuleveda.” 

Girls sectionals will take place on May 16th at Highland High School at 5pm. Boys sectionals will take place on May 18th at Highland High School at 5pm.
