Bishop Noll sophomore competes in a semi-state wrestling tournament this Saturday.

On Feb. 10, Fransisco Rodriguez, weighing in at 106 pounds, will compete in the wrestling competition taking place at EC Central.

His opponent will be Logan Haney of Crown Point.

Rodriguez is quite confident about this tournament.

“I’m confident in my ability to do what is right for me during my match,” he says. “I have been doing a lot of cardio and strengthening my move set to be more confident in my moves.”

Despite this confidence, there’s still a bit of doubt among his teammates.

A freshman on the wrestling team, Noah Hahn, said, “I wanna stay optimistic, but I’m not too sure. There are a few people who can stop him.”

Rodriguez will wrestle at 9:15 a.m.
