Fellow Bishop Noll alum and current college football player Elijah Golumbeck, who played linebacker here at Noll, will have a familiar face to see on the field at Marian next year. Jahari Davis was a top notch cornerback here at Noll but even before high school ball he played other positions such as running back and wide receiver which he had great success at playing back in the day. When he attends Marian next year he will be playing cornerback as of now.
His old high school teammate influenced him to attend Marian but he made it official when he signed at Bishop Noll on Feb. 17. Having his final decision made is great, but he doesn’t want to stop at playing at the college level.
“Playing pro ball has always been a dream of mine,” Davis says. “I personally do not see it happening in the future, but given the opportunity, I would definitely take it.”
Although Noll’s football team had a few shaky seasons during Davis’ four-year stint, he remained one of the area’s best wide receivers this year by being honored to make the Indiana All-State and Regional All-Star teams.
“Over the four years I would say Bishop Noll has definitely helped me become a better player in order to make an impact at the next level. If I could though, I would play another year of high school football,” Davis says.
