Ice hockey is one of the world’s most watched sports in the Winter Olympics ever since the miracle on ice.  The different countries have always had really good rivalries between teams like USA and Russia.  USA had obviously pulled a major upset in hockey against Russia to win the gold in the 1980 Winter Olympics.  Ever since, then hockey in the Olympics is something to look forward to.  Different rivalries have been created since the 1980 Olympics between USA and Canada.

 The world was hoping to see them play but they way the bracket turned out USA and Canada will only be able to play each other in the semi-finals this year.  Every olympic hockey fan is disappointed that they will not be able to meet up in the championship.  If they want to meet up, they will have to win their games in the quarterfinals.  Everyone is hoping this matchup will happen so that maybe USA can have another miracle on ice.
