Noll’s boys soccer team fell to a very bad outcome on Wednesday versus Boone Grove. Noll not only lost the game by one goal, but their main sophomore midfielder Gabriel Anguiano suffered a serious head and neck injury during the first period of extra time.
Anguiano went up for a fifty-fifty ball with Boone Grove’s biggest defender on the left side of the field and caught a vicious elbow to his neck which made him stay down for a few minutes before be taken off the field with Boone Grove’s trainer. He later went to the hospital after the game and was diagnosed with a sprained neck with spasms.
The team is nervous for their loss but are looking to move past the injury.
“It is very unfortunate but we should use Gaby as our motivation and work harder to achieve our goals we stated during conditioning,” said junior Lance Jackson.
