For the first time in twenty years, the Bishop Noll band is reinstituted. Students in grades 9-12 are performing at school and athletic events. But now, with the addition of both a band class and a new band director to the BNI family, the band is back on its feet. Though the current band is not the size it used to be, its numbers are growing, and with the help of Rocco Carioto, the new band director. The band plans to play at football and basketball games throughout the year, as well as perform Christmas and Spring concerts. Anyone who is interested in band but isn’t signed up for band class is invited to join the band during PRT on Days 1 and 2 in the band room.
Fortunately, the band program has the enthusiastic support of much of the BNI administration, and with the direction of Carioto, the band has already come quite a long way.
“I am so proud of our band and how far it has come in such a short time,” Carioto said. “We are proud to share our God-given talent with our school and our community.”
