Because of the extended break during the first week back to school in January and the “Superbowl Blizzard” on Feb. 1-2, Bishop Noll has four days of school to make up.
According to the state of Indiana board of education, each school has to have at least 180 days of instruction. Every day missed by the whole school for things such as weather the school must make up that missed day.
“These are the days that we have scheduled as snow make-up days: February 16, April 6, and April 24, therefore we will have a regular school day on these dates,” said dean of students Mr. Matt Chico.
As of now, a date to make up the Feb. 2 day of class is still being determined. The school is waiting to see if the Indiana Department of Education will grant a waiver since all Lake County schools were affected by the blizzard. If a waiver is not granted, Noll will be in session on June 4.
All students are to report to school on these dates in full uniform for a regular day of school.
