Bishop Noll Institute is planning on having 25-30 students represent the school at the upcoming art shows at South Suburban College, Calumet College of St. Joseph, and the Munster Center for Performing Arts during the second semester. John Cotey, the art teacher, plans on having his students show their work but he believes it is too early to tell whose work will be shown just yet. Cotey plans on visiting the Art Institute of Chicago in November with his students and is still working on getting some of our Advanced students to the Field Museum in order to perform a few drawings from life.
“ Our students have placed in almost every art show we have been exhibited in, and we plan to improve this trend in the forthcoming shows. Our students have won several cash prizes over the years, and this has placed Noll on the map in terms of our artistic skills and creative endeavors,” Cotey said.
